Unity—It’s Pretty Neat!

Today was the first day of thoughtbot’s quarterly hackathon, a two-day event where we work on whatever catches our fancy.

A few of us got together to try to create a simple game with Unity, a popular game engine. It’s really easy! The interface is terrific, and you can write scripts in either JS or C#.

I worked through this introductory tutorial, added some textures and a background, and got this silly result:
