Consulting

I’m consulting through Test Double these days! If you’d like to work with me, please either email me directly or contact TD.

Most often I’m hired to help design and build Web applications. I’ve spent most of the last decade working in that space, which has included a few years spent consulting at thoughtbot and working at a handful of startups. I enjoy working alongside teams to improve quality and process through pairing, testing, and project management. I’m happy to work in most any technical stack, but I’m especially excited about and experienced with Ruby and Rails, Postgres, Go, and Python.

However, I’m also available for more technically complex work; I have an extensive academic background in computer science, particularly with distributed systems, and spent a year at Google working on special-purpose compilers.

Finally, I’m available to help develop technical strategy. If you’re a non-profit or small organization trying to determine your technical needs, whether that’s hiring your first CTO or just moving beyond spreadsheets, I’d be happy to chat.

Feel free to get in touch!
