Most often I’m hired to help build Web applications, usually with Ruby and Rails. I’ve spent most of the last decade working in that space, which has included a few years spent consulting at thoughtbot and working at a handful of startups.
However, I’m also available for more technically complex work; I have an extensive academic background in computer science, mostly in distributed systems, and spent a year at Google working on special-purpose compilers.
Finally, I’m available to provide technical advice. If you’re a non-profit trying to determine your technical needs, whether that’s hiring your first CTO or just moving beyond spreadsheets, I’d be happy to have a chat.
